Geek jewelry isn't just about binary code and recycled computer cables. A husband-and-wife design team have created ITSNONAME, a line of science-inspired Periodic symbol rings that are halfway between classy and brassy. The "Ag Silver Periodic Ring" edition will set you back $205, while the Pt Platinum Periodic Ring is a whopping $6,500. Would you rock it?

I like chemistry as much as the next girl, but geez...these are expensive and not that stylish.
no way!
I love the concept, but I'd be more likely to wear it if it were a pin than a ring.
I like them, but they're very big and chunky. And too darn expensive.
Nope, not for me!
I would *totally* wear those!!
..if I could afford them, anyway.
But definitely not the Platinum.. that's just a too pretentious.
If the gold one cost about $200, tho, I could actually see myself saving up for it.
ridiculously dumb
Ladies, if you're considering blowing that kind of money on metal, go to your local coin store and buy yourself some some gold or silver bullion coins or bars. The price of precious metals has been sky-rocking lately and shows every sign that prices will continue to go up. For instance, I bought some silver coins a couple years ago when the price was $8 an ounce; now silver hit highs of $20 per ounce a few days ago. Quite a bit better than a savings account, no? And yes, the dealers will buy them back at current prices. Don't let yourself get scammed, check www.goldcentral.com for charts and daily spot prices.
Leav it. Way too expensive for something not really chic at all.
I'm a chemist, so of course I LOVE them! I saw this featured in DailyCandy and forwarded it to my fiance telling him he should have saved some money and bought me the Pt ring instead of my diamond.
No.
Unless your geeky biochemist hubby/BF buys it for you, tells you how totally cool it is, and does the "hurt face" if you don't wear it.
These would make for fabulous cuffs, but as rings, I'm not that crazy about them...
Those are just plain weird. Why would you buy that? Ugly!
Love it. I know so many people who would be in to that.
Harvard graduates would be loving this as a gift.... definately better than "pie" symbol on a pair of shoes.
hate to admit it, but I think they're awesome. If I had lots of money, I'd definitely get one.
wow thts interesting. i wonder what inspired them to come up with this. its expensive yet creative. in case people ask what its made of you could just tell 'em to take a closer look at your ring. lol. plus its got a bit of humor in it, at least in the way that i see it. yeah i'd rock it if i had the cash.
Only if I could wear 'em during a chemistry test.
I think these are perfect for the right person.
Too chunky!
Funny, but not for me.
I could probably afford Fe but it might hurt my finger after awhile. I guess sign me up for Si. That's probably the best I can do.
this looks like a guy's ring.
Makes me want to be a chem teacher. lol
no no not for me
Eh. It's not for me but if it was a bit smaller, I might rock the silver.
I love the concept (being the science geek that I am) but they're so clunky that I would never buy it. If it was a little more girly, I'd be all over it!
those are awsome but then again i'm a biochem major and total nerd by default
Pffft. What, no Antimony?
i would so have to leave those - they are not my style and well...not enjoying the whole chemistry thing from school -i would do anything to stay away from it after school.
I'm a science major and total nerd ... I like them but wouldn't wear them.
de me laugh,
btu not much more.
I'll pass. ^.^
well, if you are a scientist you might want to rock a nerd ring like this.
They look cool, btw I wouldn't wear them.. not my style.
The rings are too big, but if they made a pin or "charm", or maybe cuff links, I'd consider buying it. The element for gold is our last name, so it works!
Well, I love them, especially the Au! I would so rock this--if I had thousands of dollars to throw away away.
not loving it.
I love it but it's definitely a guy's ring. and I'd rather pick my favorite element even if the ring isn't made out of that element. and it'd be fun to spell out my name in elements with every two letters on each finger
