Health problems and hearing loss from cellphone and iPod use have been heavily debated ever since portable devices became a part of our everyday lives. The thing is, studies showing a correlation between use and hearing loss go back and forth. Sometimes they tell us cell phones cause hearing loss, other times they tell us use right before bed is bad, but otherwise we are OK and occasionally they tell us not to worry.
Scientists have noted that cellphone users who were on the phone for 60 or more minutes per day over a yearlong period showed early signs of hearing loss. According to this month's Shape magazine experts believe the problem comes from cellular receivers, which are louder than regular phone handsets. Do you worry about and pay attention to your cell phone's volume?

it has concerned me a little
1It isn't something I obsess over, but I do consider it from time to time, and adjust my volume if I think it's too loud.
2The question is do you worry about the volume, but the answers are for the question "Do you adjust your volume". I don't worry about hearing loss due to my phone's volume mainly because the iPhones are notoriously low-volumed. I keep it maxed all the time.
3My phone has the opposite problem - it's ridiculously loud. I always have it on the lowest setting... and it's still loud! So I just hold it a little higher than normal so I don't feel like I'm going deaf!
4to be honest - i don't worry much about the volume and the effects on my hearing. i turn it up if need be and down at other times.
5I'm definitely concerned about it but I think me standing next to six foot speakers at clubs affect my hearing a lot more.
6My cell phone's always too quiet, I can barely ever hear the other person calling; maybe it has something to do with how I use my ipod? I probably need to turn the volume down on it.
I haven't found the settings yet on how to change that, but whenever I worry about the volume, it's usually about how loud it is when it rings. Can't have it going off in school, so I usually set it on vibrate, or set it to the mosquito ringtone- the one teachers can't hear.
