Vibrant Earth-Friendly Speakers

When I first discovered these cardboard speakers, I have to admit, I was totally on the fence about their aesthetics and functionality. If the natural cardboard exterior didn't do it for you the first time around, you'll be happy to know that there's now a wide range of colors and designs to choose from. Still very affordable at $15, these eco-chic speakers that I saw on GeekAlerts are made from recycled materials, they don't require batteries and can fold flat for easy portability. As I said before, I'm not quite certain on sound quality, but they do seem like a handy travel companion!

They are really cute, and really affordable. I went on the site to get the pink ones, but the new designs are all sold out. Shipping is a MINIMUM of 24.97 and goes as high as 102.01. Seems pretty steep to me for something thats supposed to fold flat.

shipping seems really expensive - the idea of these is fantastic, though! maybe IKEa should make a version of these...

can anyone attest to the sound quality? i'm an audio nerd, and while i know not to expect miracles from portable speakers, i've got standards. ha.
