Oooh! A remote control flying toy that's not a helicopter or an army plane! The Silverlit iBird [1] has me kind of transfixed — they have the kind of organic meets tech beauty that I appreciated last month in those rad PaperBirds [2]. It's supposed to fly and flap around like a real bird (see the video in the link), but in action, it reminds me of a hummingbird, which while beautiful, have always incited weird beak-in-ear fears for me. It's about $50 and comes in three color choices. What do you think? Beautiful, freaky. . . Both?
