If you're always on the lookout for new and interesting tidbits on the net, that you love sharing with friends (or are just obsessive about getting the news out first, like me and my old standby Oldnewsbaby), you're sure to dig Clipmarks.

Clipmarks lets you clip the best part of a webpage — instead of the whole shebang, like bookmarking — to share in your blog or upload directly to your Myspace or Facebook profiles, in the form of a "ClipCast". . . a slideshow of your web gems for all your friends to see. Or you can just send a clip in a regular old-fashioned email fast and easily. I've been using Clipmarks myself for the past couple of weeks and I have to say it's pretty awesome. Simple and free to install, Clipmarks works in your Firefox, Explorer, and Flock browsers. To check out the demo video of a ClipCast, just read more.

I highly recommend this Firefox and Internet Explorer extension. I've been using it for a year and love it! It's also nice to surf others' clips on the Clipmarks website (or via their widget). I get a lot of science news via these clips.
1I friggen love this extension. I only use Firefox so I dont' know what that IE extension is like. I assume its the same, but anyway. I love it!! I use it everyday and its part of my "morning cup" (also a firefox extension ->http://shaneliesegang.com/projects/coffee.php)
2I've had friends recommending this extension for weeks, I'm excited to actually try it....thanks for the post that's pushed me over the edge. =)
