I've confessed that I am wishy-washy about digital photo frames because I like putting a real picture in a real frame, so with that in mind, this Memory Keeper Digital Photo Pendant from the Discovery Channel Store is really pushin' it. Instead of tucking your painstakingly-cut little photo inside a locket over your heart, this plastic heart holds your digital pictures, no cutting required.
On the other hand, it does hold up to 40 pics of your beloved, unlike a real locket, which holds a maximum of two pics and has a tendency to chew them up!
As far as declarations of geek love that you can wear, I don't know if this is better or worse than those 8-Bit T-Shirts. Kind of a sweet Valentine's Day gift, though — what do you guys think?

Love the idea. I have seen many of these before. This one looks cheap. It's big and bulky for the tiny size screen it has.
1I think it's cute.
2I wouldn't wear it, though.
Maybe it'll work as a keychain...
I think it's more expensive than it needs to be. I saw one for about $5 the other day. Granted, it only held about 15 pics, but still...
but it's cute (and it was a keychain)
3It's totally geeky, but I love it. I don't know that I'd actually wear it, though.
4I like the idea, I just don't like how it looks.
5I don't know about this one. I like the idea but not the look. The screen is way too tiny to view pics on.
6It's hard to tell...how big is it? Its cute for a little girl, maybe not for a grown up. Points for being pink and digital.
7I think it's cute, but I'd change the design, personally. But yeah, I want one.
8It's a sweet idea, but I'm not sold. It looks like something my four-year-old niece would wear.
9i agree with matredalia - i sketched something like this only it was a digital watch inside a silver locket, but that kind of idea with a screen in it is interesting.
10but pointless.
i seroiusly never showed people the pictures in my locket when i was a kid.
and my current locket has awful smelling perfume in it.
cute. but something i definitely wouldn't wear.
11TOTALLY CUTE
12Especially as a keychain!
Where did you find one for $5 kaeni?
i'd like it better if they could design it to look like a classic locket... instead of this plastic thing.
13Neat idea.. would never wear it, though.
14This is worse than the shirt, in my opinion. I love digital frames, but there's no way I'd wear this thing around my neck. I'd feel like Flavor Flav.
15I hate digital frames. They're just so tacky.
16What animatedpunk said. It's a good idea, just not a successful design.
17I can see how this may be attractive to some, but chunky plastic jewelry has to be much more geeky to not be tacky. This is tacky.
18so cute
19I got my husband something similar (though not heart shaped) for Christmas from Brookstone. He loves it!
20I bought 2 before last Christmas and just opened it recently. I followed the steps on the instruction and recharged the battery first, but it is not turned on after the battery is fully charged. I called the technical support, what they do is basically reading the instruction to me over the phone, which doesn't help too much. I am not sure if I misunderstand the steps on instruction and didn't operate it properly. Anyone has an idea how to turn this thing on?
Thanks,
